"Nature conservation starts on the doorstep" funding program

Under the title "Nature conservation starts on your doorstep - small steps towards a colorful, livable living environment", the Nature Conservation Foundation supports projects that protect and develop biodiversity in residential areas. Funding can cover up to 90% of eligible expenditure. The money comes from the proceeds of the environmental lottery.

Examples of projects are

• the installation of an insect hotel,
• the creation of green roofs,
• transforming monotonous lawns into flowering areas or urban gardens,
• the creation of dry stone walls or
• the creation of a species-rich green space.
