Nature conservation advisory board

The Nature Conservation Advisory Board is made up of experts working on a voluntary basis. It advises the lower nature conservation authority on important decisions and plans relating to nature conservation and landscape management.

As a rule, major planning and construction projects, such as urban land-use planning, planning approval procedures, traffic planning or draft legal ordinances are presented to the advisory board. It then makes a technical recommendation.

The meetings of the Nature Conservation Advisory Board are usually held monthly and are open to the public. The meeting dates and the respective agenda can be viewed in the City of Jena's meeting calendar.
