Your day in paradise - Environment Day

Jena's Environment Day has been a fixture in the city since 1997.

Since 2016, the Environment Day has been held together with the traditional children's and family festival on Rasenmühleninsel as "Your day in paradise". Together with JenaKultur and the Jenaer Bündnis für Familie, there will once again be a wide range of activities and a great stage program this year. We are looking forward to many enthusiastic participants.

The next "Dein Tag im Paradies" will take place on 30.05.2026.

Rückblick - Dein Tag im Paradies 2025

There was once again a varied program and numerous information and hands-on activities for young and old.

Whether sustainability, climate protection, renewable energies, nature conservation or resource protection - a wide range of environmental topics were once again covered on Environment Day. Visitors of all ages were not only able to obtain information at the stands of numerous associations and initiatives, they were also able to do handicrafts, discover, research and puzzle, repair broken appliances and code bicycles.

The winners of the 8th Children & Youth Environmental Award were also presented with their prizes. Under the motto "Instead of grey: urban green!", numerous kindergartens and school classes took part in the competition with a wide range of activities relating to unsealing, insect-friendly planting, urban trees and flower meadows.

With their tireless personal and logistical efforts, the participants of the Environment Day once again contributed to its success. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you!
